Braking Resistor of Electric Train ES2G

Braking Resistor of Electric Train ES2G

In the operation of rolling stock, the braking resistor of the ES2G electric train acts as an electrical load for the traction motors in generator mode during rheostatic braking of the train. It is designed to convert the braking energy of the train into heat when energy cannot be fed back into the contact network.
The resistor was developed as part of the program for import substitution of components for JSC "RZD".
It is used on ES2G, ES2GP and ESP1 electric trains.
Climatic version U1 according to GOST 15150-69.
The braking resistor of the ES2G electric train complies with the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union TR CU 001/2011 "On the Safety of Railway Rolling Stock" and has a declaration of conformity.
