Discharge resistors are used in uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems for battery discharge, as well as for discharging inductive and capacitive loads.

The discharge resistor system enables automated battery testing with comprehensive reporting on equipment condition.

During the discharge process, the current decreases as the battery voltage drops, requiring adjustment of the resistance. In our systems, this adjustment is performed automatically.

To prevent damage due to deep discharge, the system automatically disconnects the load when the minimum allowable voltage is reached.

Testing is carried out at ambient temperature while maintaining an approximately constant discharge current until the specified end-of-discharge voltage is reached.

Discharge resistors are custom-designed according to customer requirements.
