Discharge resistors can be used both for discharging battery systems (UPS resistors) and for discharging inductive and capacitive loads.
The discharge resistor system provides a fully automated battery testing process with the generation of a complete unit condition report. During the discharge process, the discharge current decreases along with the battery voltage, which makes resistance adjustment necessary. In our products, this adjustment occurs automatically.
To avoid damage caused by deep discharge, the discharge resistor system automatically disconnects the battery load.
The test is carried out at ambient temperature with an almost constant discharge current until the specified final discharge voltage is reached.
Discharge resistors are manufactured individually in accordance with the customer’s technical specifications.
